Bags with a Blessing is run by a dedicated team of volunteers who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. We believe in the power of repurposing pre-loved bags and filling them with items that inspire and empower individuals to renew their purpose in life. Our team is committed to spreading hope and love throughout Ohio and beyond.

In November 2018, as I sorted through my belongings, I stumbled upon a collection of pre-loved purses and bags that were no longer in use. Rather than discarding them, I envisioned a transformative and meaningful endeavor. Inspired by the potential to empower individuals within our community, the idea of BWAB (Bags With a Blessing) was born. Our mission became clear: to repurpose these quality bags, filling them with pieces that instill inspiration, confidence, faith, and love, ultimately reigniting a sense of purpose in the lives of those in need.
Through the power of social media and word-of-mouth, we rallied together and within a mere two weeks, we had collected 40 bags brimming with the essential items that I am privileged to have in my own life.
The overwhelming response and outpouring of enthusiasm and generosity from individuals eager to donate bags and items, and to spread love and kindness to those in need, was truly heartwarming. This profound experience compelled me to continue this initiative the following years. In 2019, our efforts resulted in the collection of over 200 purses, each one carrying the potential to ignite renewed purpose.
The resounding success of our Christmas campaign in 2020 saw the collection and filling of over 500 bags, further reinforcing BWAB's commitment to our mission. We extend our deepest gratitude to all who contributed with such unwavering generosity.
In 2023, we are thrilled to share that our unwavering dedication and community support has allowed us to surpass all expectations. Through our collective efforts, we have collected and donated an astonishing 925 purses, each one carrying the promise of transformation. This achievement serves as a testament to the power of compassion and the belief in the potential for individuals to rediscover their purpose.
The overwhelming support from our community has been instrumental in our growth, and I am thrilled to announce our donation goal of 500 quality, pre-loved or new bags in our 2023 BWAB campaign. We are proud to have achieved official recognition as an official Ohio 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization.
BWAB actively seeks to repurpose pre-loved bags of exceptional quality, transforming them into vessels of empowerment. We meticulously fill these bags with carefully selected pieces that inspire, instill confidence, nurture faith, and radiate love. Our unwavering commitment remains to ignite a renewed sense of purpose in the lives of the individuals we serve.
